Biographical
Kerry has been senior counsel, a mediator and arbitrator for many years. Called to the bar in 1983, he started his practice in litigation with a large Vancouver law firm. After 14 years, Kerry launched a small boutique firm that was modelled after his sensible approach to dispute resolution. While continuing his focus on engineering and construction, his practice also included intellectual property, environmental and personal injury. Early on, Kerry’s focus was on timely preparation and strategic efforts at resolution, which led to his unrivalled reputation for reasonableness and fairness, leading to economic results for clients.
Starting a law firm and guiding it to success and growth for 22 years has honed Kerry’s skills and understanding of the business side of professional practice. Today, Kerry is dedicated to assisting parties in working towards the resolution of their disputes through mediation. He has been developing and working on his skills in mediation over the past 36 years as counsel and 12 years as a mediator. If arbitration is the path being taken Kerry is prepared to accept appointments as arbitrator and is prepared to apply his energy and skills to your dispute, whether that arises in a construction, engineering or other commercial context.
